Over the years I've seen a small but steady transition to where I believe in spirituality, but not enough to dive into any form including Buddhist. Although I am spiritual in nature, I tend to follow my own spirituality. I'm not surprised that some of my techniques take on many spiritual forms and teachings. I've been told that my techniques are closely aligned to Buddhist teaching and Kabbalah, but I've never read or taken part in either spiritual belief.Bruno LoGrecohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03704794716622619520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2946883645430222340.post-70208939470194472222008-05-04T15:44:00.000-04:002008-05-04T15:44:00.000-04:00hallo again bruno... i appreciated your comment he...hallo again bruno... i appreciated your comment here, it sounds much like the approach of mindfulness which is being used more and more often in psychiatric treatments here in the netherlands, with astonishing results compared to the more traditional psychotherapies and medications...

i'm somewhat buddhist in inclination and knew some of these techniques already, but a directed therapy using meditation and mindfulness is a definite benefit in my life...

keep well...Bart Treurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16505729913700832969noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2946883645430222340.post-81964096651314976552008-05-04T08:45:00.000-04:002008-05-04T08:45:00.000-04:00One perspective is everyone is successful in whate...One perspective is everyone is successful in whatever they do' Yet, not everyone realizes the intrinsic value in all their own accomplishments. Thanks for visiting the blog :)

I know depression can get the best of us at times - when you find yourself going into a state of depression, start thinking the future is 15 seconds away, and focus your attention to the sounds around you. It will be hard the first few times because the sensation you feel when you start to feel depressed feels better than trying to listen to the sounds around you. Fight with the sensation and allow yourself to take in the subtle sounds all around you. Listen for the hum of the fridge. Hold this level of awareness and you will snap out of the depression for as long as you want to allow yourself to.Bruno LoGrecohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03704794716622619520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2946883645430222340.post-23180643233141538952008-05-01T15:30:00.000-04:002008-05-01T15:30:00.000-04:00Good post on goals.
